HOW TO SELECT U—JOINT KITS
Meritor offers U-joints in a full range of sizes for automotive as well as On and Off-highway truck and
equipment applications
All sizes and types of Meritor U-joint kits are basically the same. They consist of the following:
• A cross
• Four (4) bearing races
• Seals
• Needle bearings
• Hardware to retain the bearings in the yoke
• Lube fitting (for most kits)
METHODS OF RETAINING U-JOINT KITS
Meritor U-joint Kits are catalogued by methods of retention within their basic style groups shown on the
following pages. Each U-joint kit section uses specific illustrations showing primary dimensions for
determining the part number.
