INSTALLATION TIPS
Once you’ve selected the right ASA type and part number, it is important to instruct the customer on installation of
the ASA. There are installation templates in the box with the slack adjuster. Each installation template is designed
to line up the clevis, push rod, and arm at a particular angle so that the most efficient adjustment of the brakes is
obtained. Should the installation angle be off from the required template angle for that application, over adjustment
or under adjustment will result - and therefore push rod lengths may be off from the acceptable lengths!
USE OF THE TEMPLATE WILL GIVE YOU THE IDEAL ADJUSTMENT
