FRONT STEERING AXLE

TYPICAL

KING PIN

REPAIR

FRONT SPRING SUSPENSION

STEMCO Kaiser

grease grooved pins and NO-REAM bushing assemblies with seals will repair

all positions on front springs and some rear spring applications.

It is not necessary to remove the spring from the vehicle.

Repairing one end of the spring at a time will keep its

position with the hanger. Drive out old pin and bushing

and clean spring eye. Follow normal installation

procedures.

Check pin in bushing assembly after it has been

driven into the spring eye. Pin should not bind in

bushing assembly.

The grooving on the pin provides more grease for better lubrication.

The seals on each end of the assembly keep lubrication in and dirt out. The combination provides longer life and

less maintenance between repairs.

The repair of both front springs requires 6

spring pins and 6 bushing assemblies.

STEMCO Kaiser NO REAM

king pin repairs do not require the complete

removal of the spindle. Tear the unit down until the bushings can be

removed. Be sure the spindles are clean and free from burrs prior to

installing the bushings. Spiral bushings are easily installed by hand. After

bushings are installed use the king pin to check for proper fit and clearance

prior to placing the spindle back on the axle.

Be sure and follow the installation instruction in the kit.

NO King Pin can repair worn axle or spindle eyes.

Axle eyes can be repaired with the

STEMCO Kaiser Spiral Steel Bushing must be used

with STEMCO Kaiser grease grooved king pin.
